Street photography workshop with Dimitris Makrygiannakis in Prague

Dimitris Makrygiannakis is a member of Burn My Eye photography collective. I signed up for a workshop led by him last weekend (19-21 of April) in Prague. The first street photography workshop I attended was led by David Gaberle also in Prague in 2019. It was an invaluable experience that changed my perspective so I was excited to participate in another street photography workshop.

We started on Friday evening with going through our portfolios and Dimitris’ photo presentation. For the next two days we walked for 5-6 hours, shooting almost without a break, and in the evening we met again to discuss our photos. We got some advice on what we could improve on the next day. Saturday was rainy and the temperature was below 10 degrees Celsius, but it turned out to be a great experience as the bad weather created many interesting photo opportunities.

Here’s a selection of my favourite photos I took. Mostly peacocks that you can find in Vojanovy sady.
